THE MOSAIC PROJECT
Initiated in 2013, the HTG's MOSAIC PROJECT is a large scale multi-year community endeavor. Under the art direction of local mosaic artist Kurt Boll and designed by painter Julia Russell, the four massive piers of the newly constructed Educational Pavilion will be covered by tens of thousands of glittering mosaic tiles depicting the natural history of the Catskills through the seasons.
Both young people and tale part inthe project. Mosaics workshops, open to the entire community, are held twice each week. Volunteers are always welcome, and no previous experience in mosaics is required. For information email us through the page on this website.
